WEBSITE: The Club uses our website to help us communicate with the members. A good place to start is on the HOME PAGE. You can reach the home page with the link provided to the right, Nearly every page in this website has a bar of dropdown menus at the top. Point to these with your mouse and the dropdown menu will appear. Click on the page of interest to jump there directly. Visit the HOME PAGE and become familiar with the wealth of information provided there. At the top of the Home Page are three large boxes with links to: 1) the form for updating your club contact information, 2) The Monthly Update Page 3) The Coming Events page. Below that is a table of HOT LINKS that supplement the dropdown menus. We suggest you bookmark the Home Page for future reference. |

CONSTANT CONTACT
eBLASTS: The club uses a service called Constant Contact to send out broadcast emails to members. These may announce flyers for new events, provide a link to the latest newsletter, provide general information and more. It's important to make sure the club always has your current email address for you and your significant other. This website has a form for updating your information. Depending on your security settings and your email provider, it may be necessary to add the MMC email address (marcomensclub@gmail.com) to your contacts list to avoid having the eBlasts go to Spam. Use the link to the right to update your information with the club, especially if your email address changes. |

UPDATE PAGE & THE CLUB NEWSLETTER: As much as possible all of our communications are electronic. For that to work we must have your correct email address! Each month the club creates an electronic newsletter in PDF format, It is posted on the Monthly Update Page, and the members are notified by a Constant Contact eBlast. All "Newsletter links" in this website and the eBlasts will take you to the Monthly Update Page. This page provides the link to the newsletter and also other useful information about coming events. SOCIAL EVENTS: The MMC is all about social events. We don't support advertising or any causes, as good as they might be. The primary place to visit in our website is the Coming Events Page. This is a calendar of events that is updated monthly and whenever new information becomes available. On the Coming events page: 1) Scroll down and click on the event description to download and print a flyer. 2) Fill in the information at the bottom of the flyer, 3) Place the bottom of the flyer and your check in an envelope and mail it to the the event host. Note: for many events your check will not be cashed until after the event. |

LEADERSHIP The club has a Board of Directors and a number of appointed Chairmen who manage & lead the club. Terms for Officers are limited and every year the General Membership elects new members to the Board. The election takes place in January, with the newly elected officers installed in May. Consider running for a position or becoming a Chairman. It's a lot of fun! There is a Board meeting every month on the first Thursday of the month. All Members are welcome to attend. | 10 | NAME TAGS The club will order a name tag for you. You can pick it up at any General Meeting. We encourage members to wear their name tags to the General Meeting. In a good natured way we charge members who "forget" a buck! Replacement name tags are available for a small fee. |

MEETINGS The General Membership Meeting is the second Wednesday of each month and held at the Marco Lutheran Church on Collier Blvd at 10AM. Get there early to participate in the free coffee and donuts and meet other members. (and wear your name tag!) |

CAN YOU DO TO GET MORE INVOLVED?
We welcome volunteers for hosting an event. It is a good way to get
to know your fellow members.
If you have a suggestion for an
event, or want to host an event please contact our
Senior Vice President
who is responsible for planning and
developing new events. A club officer will be assigned to help you.
As a "Perk" the HOST and HOSTESS get free tickets to their event (up
to a generous amount).
After you get to know more about the club, and if you have an interest in becoming involved with the Board, or one the Chairman positions, please talk with our President, or Senior Vice President, at one of our General Meetings. Fresh ideas and member enthusiasm are what make this a "fun" club. New ideas and comments are always welcome. And that certainly includes any comments or suggestions you may have about this website. | 15 | MEMBERSHIP
YEAR AND DUES Our membership year is the calendar year from January to December. The standard Dues Collection Period is November-December each year (starting in 2021). The dues invoice will be posted on this website on or before Nov 1st and distributed to the Membership by eBlast multiple times during the collection period. Failure to pay your dues will cause your name to be dropped from the membership list. If that happens you may re-join the club subject to any current fees and the residency requirements. See links to the right. |
